Upland Bird Hunts • [Kansas Pheasant and Quail Hunts]

HALF-DAY HUNTS

We offer guided and unguided (bring your own dog) field hunts.

HALF DAY-Take your choice of 10 quail or 5 pheasant per gun. Half day cost per gun $120, starts at 9:00 am or 1:00 pm.

Dog is required for all hunts. We can provide dog/guide for $25/gun/half day. We require a 2 person minimum, and up to 6 guns per hunt. Multiple hunting areas available to accommodate more than 6. Deposit required at booking. Guided hunts require minimum 1 week notice. Unguided is flexible. Kansas Hunting or Controlled shooting area license required. Additional birds available $25/pheasant, $13/quail.

FULL DAY HUNTS

We offer guided and unguided (bring your own dog) field hunts.

FULL DAY-Choose 18 quail or 9 pheasant per gun. Full day cost per gun $220, starts at 9:00 am.

Dog is required for all hunts. We can provide dog/guide for $50/gun. We require a 2 person minimum, and up to 6 guns per hunt. Multiple hunting areas available to accommodate more than 6. Deposit required at booking. Guided hunts require minimum 1 week notice. Unguided is flexible. Kansas Hunting or Controlled shooting area license required. Additional birds available $25/pheasant, $13/quail.

EUROPEAN HUNTS

We offer a 12 station European hunt.

These hunts include 10 pheasants per gun. Cost is $250 per gun.

We require 12 guns per hunt to fill the course, availability to handle 48 hunters per day at each course.

Breakfast and/or lunch provided depending on morning or afternoon hunt.

6 shot or smaller shells required.

Blaze orange, eye and hearing protection required.

Our European is very unique, and more challenging than most others. Come see what sets us apart. Retrievers are provided for European shoot. "Clean-up" hunt is included after initial hunt. Bird cleaning included (Breast Only). Kansas Hunting or controlled shooting area license required to participate.

Upland Lodge Experience

Stay with us in the fully furnished lodge and take your pick of the Full Day Hunt or the European Hunt. This trip includes lodging for up to 10 people. (Other accommodations can be made for more.) It also includes guiding, dogs and bird cleaning. You can choose to have us provide you with meals, or use the full kitchen to provide your own. The lodge is fully furnished with satellite tv, dining area, living area, two bathrooms and a bunch of hunting flare. The bunk house sits just steps away from the lodge, so it is a quiet getaway if you need the solitude.

Each day of hunting provides you a nights stay, additional nights may be purchased. You can choose the number of days for your trip, we will do our best to accommodate. As stated above, we can provide your meals if you choose. The typical meal schedule would be a light breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and a hearty dinner. Water will be available for drinks, any other drinks will have to be brought by the hunting party. There is a refrigerator and freezer available to all guests.

Cost- $400 Per Gun Per Day without Meals or $450 Per Gun Per Day with Meals Provided.

WHAT WE ARE...

Upland Bird Hunts [Kansas Pheasant and Quail Hunts]

Our field hunts are the most comparable to a wild hunt that we know of. Our cover is thick, but is somewhat easy to navigate for the hunter. We have made these courses to provide optimum cover for the birds. We've sighted many pheasants and quail months after the previous season ended. Each field will require the hunters to spend a few hours on the hunt, don't expect sympathy if you only see a few birds and leave after an hour. We do have a few easier courses for the novice hunters and dogs available if requested.

Are you looking to tune up Fido before your trip to South Dakota to chase pheasants? Are you looking for that nostalgia of shooting quail with a buddy or grandpa in that hedgerow behind his house? We have that here. Our field hunts feature a unique cover crop blend that not only hide the birds, but also provide them food throughout the winter. Do you need us to provide a guided hunt? We do that as well, we employ professional guides who are familiar with our operation, they will get you on the birds. There's no membership cost to worry about.
